Bringing Argentina into the classroom -didactic material for Spanish class

The project aims to create critical understanding about the current context and social issues in Argentina with Danish high school students learning Spanish.
In the first part of the project, we will create text materials, videos and audio in close collaboration with locals. The material will focus on the social and environmental context in Buenos Aires and San Martín de los Andes, and three organizations who work with the following topics:
Women's rights
Preserving traditional bodegon dinning
Preservation of a natural reserve in La Patagonia

In the second phase, the students will work with the materials, participate in a collage workshop with Pepperina Magenta and present their knowledge to other students at their school.
From the project’s different phases, the students will unlearn stereotypes, express understanding of social issues in Argentina, encourage intercultural reflection, and demonstrate how Language Studies can be used in global development work.
