Hand-out of menstrual kits

From September to November, the teams in Mexico and Colombia facilitated workshops about menstruation where this important topic was discussed with students from 4 partner schools in Colombia and 3 in Mexico. The workshops included, along with other topics, a presentation of different products that can be used during menstruation, both reusable and one-time use products.

Thanks to C&C Travel Hjælpeprogrammer, 284 kits with reusable menstrual pads were handed out as part of the 20 workshops, between the two countries. The kits included several pads in different sizes and absorption in a small bag, for the girls to have a good starter kit.

The girls were very excited and thankful for the kits, and even some teachers were curious because they didn't know about this option. It was beautiful experience seeing the girls empowered about menstruation not having to be a taboo, and receiving the kits definitely made a difference.
