This intervention aims to reduce protection risks and improve psycho-social wellbeing of 650 earthquake-affected children and adolescents and their immediate families in 4 partner schools in Cali and Yumbo. During the intervention, we will:

  • Hand-out emergency school kits to support the kids and teenagers going back to school.

  • Hand-out of dignity kits that include hygiene products.

  • Hand-out of food and other essential non-food products for the most vulnerable families in the communities connected to our partner schools.

  • Facilitate school-based psychosocial support. Teachers and school staff will be trained in Psychological First Aid and basic psychosocial support to strengthen the schools' capacity to identify and support children experiencing distress and refer those requiring specialised assistance.

The project will address urgent humanitarian needs while reducing protection risks and supporting educational continuity.

This project will run for 4 months and end in January 2027.
