Back doing in-person workshops

We have many projects planned for this new year and we are excited to announce that we have begun working in-person with students at our partner schools again. This past week, Shanon traveled to Popayán to train our newest member, Lucely, who will be holding workshops of her own very soon. They held the first workshops of the year with 9th and 10th graders as part of our responsible sexuality program, with excellent results.

They also had the chance to start our workshops that form part of our newest proyecto - Podcast. There will be several workshops held throughout the year that will inspire podcast episodes. 6th, 7th, and 8th graders participated in our new changes during puberty and hygiene, and emotional intelligence workshops, and 8th grade also participated in our improved menstruation workshop, which aims to further include the boys in the conversation and eliminate stigmas and misinformation regarding menstruation.

We had a great time with these groups, and could tell students were very eager to have in-person classes and learn more about their bodies, minds, and how to make informed choices about their sexuality.
